Canadian movement to protect net neutrality gains momentrum
In the wake of widespread outrage about the throttling of P2P traffic by large ISPs, and now CAIP's challenge to Bell Canada's throttling of its members' traffic, the Canadian movement to protect Network Neutrality has gained new energy. A new website, www.SaveOurNet.ca, has been launched to provide information and to mobilize a public campaign on the issue. Supporters of Net Neutrality are gathering on Parliament Hill on May 27th, from 11:30am to 1:30pm, to call for legislative or regulatory measures to stop large ISPs from interfering with internet traffic.
