Study shows Breach Notification Effective

A study released today by the Samuelson Law, Technology and Public Policy Clinic in California finds that security breach notification laws make organizations take security more seriously.  The authors conclude that "information security will improve if there is a centralized, publicly-available database where security breaches are disclosed".
