| January 22, 2007
CIPPIC's application for judicial review of a Privacy Commissioner of Canada decision was heard today in the Federal Court. The case, Lawson v. Accusearch (aka Abika), involves the Commissioner's jurisdiction over a US-based databroker selling information about Canadians to Canadians. David Fewer, CIPPIC's staff counsel, argued the case before Justice Harrington of the Federal Court, who reserved his decision.
