ORNEC funds CIPPIC project on online contracting

CIPPIC has been awarded matching funding of up to $100,000 from the Ontario Research Network for Electronic Commerce (ORNEC) for a research project on unfair terms and methods in online consumer contracting, over the period March 2006 to December 2007. The funding will match in-kind donations by private law firms over this period. CIPPIC is collaborating on this project with Professor Warren Thorngate of Carleton University, who will be researching consumer behaviour and awareness in the context of online contracting.
