CRTC invites comment on Do Not Call list

The CRTC has issued a public notice asking for input on the development and operation of a National Do Not Call List (DNCL) and on telemarketing rules. New legislation passed just before the last Parliament dissolved authorized the CRTC to establish a national DNCL, select a third-party administrator for the national DNCL, and to levy administrative monetary penalties. Anyone wishing to comment can do so by May 10, 2006. Those who wish to participate fully in the process must register by March 6, 2006.
