Costco resists BC government request for customer info

Discount chain giant Costco is fighting a request by the B.C. government for the names and purchase records of B.C. members who have avoided tax by shopping at its Alberta stores. The government argues that it has the right to this information in order to catch tax cheats. Costco argues that the request is too broad and invasive of its customers' privacy.
