CRIA Pledges Not to Sue iPod Users
| August 08, 2005
In the wake of the Supreme Court of Canada's refusal to hear the appeal of the Federal of Appeal's December Private Copying decision, Graham Henderson, President of the Canadian Recording Industry Association, has pledged on behalf of its "major label members" not to sue those who copy legally acquired music to "portable devices". CRIA also extended the pledge to copies made to "hard drives", although the private copying decision did not address the issue of private copies made to hard drives.
